Katy Perry gave boyfriend Russell Brand a Range Rover for Christmas, even though he doesn’t know how to drive. According to US reports, the singer spent around £62,000 for the top-of-the-range SUV, and the present comes after the pair purchased a new home in LA.

“Now that I’ve got a house, you’re going to be spending a lot more time in LA,” she reportedly told Brand as she gave him the black Range Rover.

But she also bought him driving lessons, a source told Radar Online.

Katy Perry and Russell Brand have taken a two-week break in India, seeing all the most popular cultural sights in the north. They already took a trip to Agra to see the Taj Mahal and have since been travelling around Rajasthan, stopping and seeing the Amber Fort in Jaipur amongst other places.

If they’ve got time left, it’s also worth making a trip to Fatehpur Sikri near Agra, an abandoned city, which was the capital during the reign of the Mughal emperor, Akbar, in the 16th century.
